5Great for the money!
By Shawn Gallagan
I got these for my son’s bike with 12″ wheels. They’re slightly larger than the pedals that were on there, but they still fit great.

5Nice pedals
By S. Moore
I installed these pedals last week. They seem to work fine on my son’s bike.

4Made for kids, great for fixed-gears. Perfect for Pryme Foot Straps!
By Peter Lehmann
I purchased a set of these with a 9/16″ spindle because they were the cheapest pedals I could find at a local bike shop. I have a friend who is NOT a great cyclist and he did not want to fuss with toe-clips during a local Critical Mass ride (he does not own a bike and needed to borrow one of my fixed-gears to join me).

Shortly after, I decided to try a Cyclocross clinic on my fixed-gear track-bike. I LOVED it and spoke to one of the competitors about what I needed to do to make my bike regulation at more formal races (toe-clips are NOT regulation). Because my bike is a fixed-gear, not having toe-clips makes pedaling through the mud uphill nearly impossible!

As I stated above, toe-clips are NOT regulation and clipless shoes and pedals aren’t a great idea for fixed-gear bikes either but STRAPS do not appear to be illegal. I ordered the “Pryme Foot Straps” and decided to use these mountain pedals to mount them. The dimensions of this pedal are just marginally larger than my “All-City Cecil Pro Track” pedals I use on the same bike with toe-clips and they only weigh 325 grams versus the Cecil Pro which weigh 238 grams. I thought they would be PERFECT for the straps and they ARE!

I gave them four stars because I want to accurately compare them to standard track-pedals from brands like All-City, MKS, and even Origin-8, and to common mountain-bike and BMX pedals from Odyssey, Black-Ops, Shadow Conspiracy and other inexpensive and good-quality models (up to around $20-$30 a pair),They are not flashy and sparkly like an excellent set of track-pedals and they may wear-out quicker but for less than $9 a pair, they are great for my multipurpose track-bike. They also look like they were made specifically for the Pryme foot straps!

In time, after I have used them through the rough snowy Winter months, I will add to this review and will write a review for the Pryme Foot Straps as well. I will also post a few pictures so readers understand what I mean about the style and function of this pedal coupled with the Pryme straps, stay tuned!
