not a system

Although it’s called a “SYSTEM” this doesn’t work without a transmitter. I guess I should
have known, but I didn’t. The word, “system” threw me off though reportedly refers to 2 speakers
and a remote. Never used it b.c. I didn’t want to buy additional equipment. Ended up with bluetooth
transmitter using USB of computer.

Sony Altus S-Air wireless speakers are great!

We purchased 2 sets (4 speakers) of the Altus S-Air wireless speakers (ALT-SA34R) to give extra sound to our Sony Wireless Audio system (Air-SW10) They are easy to set up and plug in anywhere. They provided the extra surround sound we needed in our large open great-room area of the living room, kitchen & dining room. In a single room, they sound alot louder. The remote that comes with the speakers can also be used with the docking station. It is actually better than the one that comes with the docking station because it shows the song being played on the remote display. These will be great to take outdoors, too.

Mostly awesome

I bought these hoping they’d work as rear speakers for my BVD370 Sony system, but that is not the case. Shame on me for not really investigating that properly, but they do work well as other room speakers. Although sometimes they cut out when several rooms over and things (including people) get in the line of sight to the unit. Although to be fair, my main unit is in a TV stand that has really thick wood in the direction of where the speaker is. I think this uses 2.4Ghz freq so it also helps to try all the channels if you have issues. When its on, it sounds great though.
